AI VOICE AGENT FOR HOSPITALITY
An AI receptionist for restaurants and hospitality
The phone rings hardest in the middle of service, when your team has their hands full. A TechMoose AI voice agent picks up, takes table bookings, answers the questions every venue hears all day about hours, location and menu, and captures function and group enquiries for you to follow up. Staff stay on the floor and callers are never left ringing out.

Caller
Hi, can I book a table for four tomorrow night?
Voice agent
Of course. I have 6pm and 7:45pm free tomorrow. Which would you prefer?
Caller
7:45. One of us is coeliac, is that okay?
Voice agent
I'll note that on the booking and the team will confirm options with you on the night. Can I take a name for the table?
Illustrative conversation. Not a recording of a real customer.
THE PROBLEM
The phone is how customers find you. It is also in the way.
The phone rings during service
Booking calls arrive when the venue is busiest and nobody can spare a hand. Either a guest waits or a call is missed, and both are expensive.
The same questions, all day
Are you open, do you take walk ins, is there parking, do you do gluten free. Each is simple, and together they eat the time of your most valuable people.
Function enquiries slip through
A large group booking or a private event is worth far more than a single table, and it is the kind of call most likely to be lost to a busy line.
WHAT YOUR AGENT DOES
It handles the calls you cannot
Takes bookings
With calendar sync on, it checks availability and books guests in, taking the name, party size and any notes.
Answers venue questions
Opening hours, address, parking, whether you take walk ins, what is on the menu. You supply the answers and it gives them the same way each time.
Captures function enquiries
For events and large groups, it collects the date, group size and contact details and passes them to you, so a high value lead never goes to voicemail.
Hands off allergies to staff
You can set a rule that any allergy or dietary requirement question is noted and passed to your team, rather than answered by the agent.
YOUR RULES
You set the boundaries, in plain English
You do not configure a phone tree. You write instructions the way you would brief a new team member, and the agent follows them. Change a rule and it changes on the next call.
Examples of instructions you could give it
- For allergy questions, do not give assurances. Note the request and tell the caller the team will confirm.
- For groups of more than eight, take the details instead of booking, and tell them the manager will call back.
- We are closed on public holidays. Offer the next available day.
- Do not confirm menu items that are not on the menu I gave you.
GETTING STARTED
Live in minutes, not weeks
Describe it in plain English
Tell TechMoose AI who you are, what you do, your hours, and what your assistant should and should not say. No scripts to write and no code.
Connect your number and calendar
Get a dedicated Australian phone number, link your calendar so it can book, and choose how you are notified when a call comes in.
Test it, then go live
Talk to your agent in your browser first. When it sounds right, point your calls at it and it starts answering.
Paid plans start at A$49 a month, and there is a free plan to build and test your agent. See pricing
QUESTIONS
Frequently asked
Can it take table bookings?
Yes, when it is connected to your calendar it can check availability and book guests in. If you run a dedicated reservations platform and need the agent to write into it, that is a custom integration our development team can scope.
Can it answer menu and allergy questions?
It can share the menu information you give it. For allergies we recommend a rule that it notes the request and passes it to your team, so a person confirms safety rather than the agent.
What about large groups and function enquiries?
You can set a threshold, for example groups over a certain size, above which it takes the details and notifies you instead of booking, so the manager handles the conversation.
Will it work during a busy service?
Yes. The agent is on the line the moment the phone rings and does not get flustered, so a Friday night rush does not change how callers are treated.
